If you're on Windows go to Windows Control Panel and turn off any power savings measures for the USB ports. Make sure the Yamaha keyboard is plugged into a working USB port. I mean we have no idea what computer you're running, what operating system, etc. System info please? Read & follow the 'help us to help you' link that's at the top of every page. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I missing something? Why can I not get a simple function to work? ![]() I changed "Out 1-2" to "no outupt" and several other options/combinations. I changed "no input" to the stereo options. I changed "none" to several different Predefined options. I changed "All" to "Predefined Fast Track Pro Midi in". I have played around with changing the options under where it says "Instrument". And under "Options", Midi Thru is checked.Ħ. Default Thru instrument is set at "first selected Midi Track". I tried setting it at HUI and got an error message saying Pro Tools is unable to communicate with HUI.ĥ. I have tried un-checking them, and checking off one but not the other for both devices. Setup>Midi>Input says "Fast Track Pro Midi in" and "New Instrument". Setup>Midi>Midi Studio Setup and trying every different combination of input ports and output portsģ. Restarting the computer and restarting Pro Tools.many timesĢ. Here is what I have tried for troubleshooting so far:ġ. Both have worked with pro tools on my computer in the past, and I haven't changed any settings or anything, but now I cannot get Pro Tools to recognize either one, no matter what I do.īoth keyboards are functioning fine. The Casio connects into the M-Audio box via MIDI cable. The Yamaha connects to my computer via USB. But do actually check compatibility claims from vendors.I have two electric keyboards, a Yamaha and a Casio. It's not a bad thing to do full clean installs every now and again. What happens?Īnd if the missing plugin files are not somewhere else and you can't manually copy them back into the plugin folder then grab the latest/compatible installers and just install them. After you trash prefs make sure you see Pro Tools scanning the plugins, if only the default ones. Or even better buy Trasher and let it do that for you. Make sure you follow Avid's instructions exactly for your specific Pro Tools and Windows version. ![]() ![]() ![]() If they are there then trash prefs again. what exactly is in.Ĭ:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins And I'd suspect it's possible that you have all the other plugins in slightly the wrong location, and Pro Tools has put back the default core plugins in the correct location.īut either way you need to actually look at stuff. Pro Tools will automagically put back it's core default plugins if they are missing. Or maybe you unintentionally deleted everything. If you have been moving plugins around the most likely cause of this is your plugins are not in the correct location and/or are not the needed AAX-64 format. What else have you done? Did you upgrade from an earlier version of Pro Tools? What exact version? Have you ever had all these plugins working before on 2021.3.1?
